When you are traveling in another foreign country, nothing is better than FOOD. Food is always the most important and also interesting part in a trip. Of course, in this trip, we also enjoyed different types of delicacies such as local Khmer, Indian, Thai, Western, and also Chinese food. Everyday we had sufficient money for several dishes, so we ordered smoothies, desserts, and main dishes.

However, after interacting with those Khmer people, we realized that going out to eat is a luxury, and sometimes they could not even afford their meal. Moreover, I just noticed that those people were really in a poor living condition. They struggle with money a lot. Not only meal, but they also cannot buy anything for themselves such as pretty earrings, watches, and necklaces.

As we know, less people in Cambodia are educated in colleges. Even if they go to college, they only can join classes once or twice a week. And during the rest of the week, they will be working in factories, schools, or other places. The most corrupted thing is that sometimes teachers in colleges do not even come if those students do not pay extra money to them.  Everything is about money. When some people get injured, the ambulance will come. However, if the family does not pay them enough money, then they will leave immediately even if the patient is already unconscious. For the police, it is the same situation with the hospital. After few days capturing those people who do gambling, the police will let them leave because they pay the police lots of money. From these examples, we can tell that the Khmer society is corrupting. Majority of people only care about their money, but not justice, righteousness, and kindness.

Even though what we can do for them is limited, we need to try our best to help them out of the darkness and face to God. Maybe these situations will not be changed easily, but at least more and more people will be impacted by God and changed because of God. Through this trip, I learned so much about Cambodia, those Khmer people, and also the relationship between God and me. In addition, I would not forget those kind and honest friends I made in Cambodia. They are awesome and sweet. At last, thank you for my Cambodia team, the one who let me have the best trip ever in my lives. I love you all!!!
